A location from the forthcoming WW2 espionage thriller, Georgina. A friend of Georgina is Erich Hoeness, a captain in Hitler’s Wehrmacht. However, he is not a Nazi and has developed a conscience. Will he assist Georgina and reveal vital information learned from his visit to the Berghof?

The next author event will be at Mallaig Library on Thursday 6 September at 6.30pm. A talk will be on the current release, Awakening, plus why the Scottish Highlands have been prominent in each Time Jigsaw book. The village of Mallaig is featured in the forthcoming novel, therefore, a relevant visit next month.

The village of Mallaig was formed in 1840 and the landowner encouraged his tenants to enhance its fishing potential.
Mallaig has access to distance learning for courses at Lochaber College and 8% of locals use the facilities. A learning centre in the village has courses specifically designed for fishermen.
In 1960, Mallaig was the busiest herring port in Europe.
It is the main commercial fishing port in the Scottish West Highlands.
The area has been used for popular films including Harry Potter and Local Hero. Apparently, when filming Local Hero in April 1982, legendary Hollywood actor Burt Lancaster visited the village.
In 2009, the journey from Glasgow to Mallaig was voted the top rail line in the world by an independent traveller’s magazine.

It’s not only the enjoyment of participating in a forthcoming event next month, but also the picturesque rail journey to Mallaig. This iconic viaduct being one of the many sights to savour.
