A century ago, on this day, the battle commenced. In the forthcoming book, Time Jigsaw Awakening, 1916 is one of the timelines. Indeed, one of the book’s characters, is involved in the battle. Homage is paid to him, and other military personnel.


On 22 June, I will be visiting South West Library in Greenock, to discuss The Time Jigsaw series. The third book should be published later this year. The above statue, is a fitting tribute to Free French sailors during WW2. Coincidently, the Time Jigsaw has a chapter, whose location is France 1940. After Dunkirk, the Free French was established.

The location where a ‘bright spirit’ appears in Edinburgh’s Canongate, and plays a part in guiding James Carsell-Brown towards his ultimate goal. A scene from the forthcoming book, Time Jigsaw Awakening.

In the forthcoming novel, Time Jigsaw Awakening, James Carlisle’s time travels take him to certain locations within Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. In the 18th century, Burns also frequented them! Happy Birthday.


Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is the cultural location for scenes in the forthcoming novel – The Time Jigsaw Awakening. The scenes are set in June, 1914, shortly before the outbreak of World War 1. The book should be published later this year.
