Enjoyed a visit to the town’s library to meet with a writing group and discuss EARTHMAN, as well as other Adventure in Time novels. Thanks to Anne and Dianne for organising and hosting the event.

This year’s Comet Festival will span a full weekend between Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June 2025 and will incorporate celebrations for Port Glasgow’s 250th anniversary (PG250).
On Saturday enjoy performances from local bands and dancers, children’s entertainment, and boat trips. Browse community group and trader marquees featuring a great selection of information, crafts, books, and gifts as well as tasty food and drink in the tea tent and beer garden.
On Sunday, take part in the Port Glasgow 10k – or support from the sidelines – then join in on some football training or ‘Praise in the Park’. If you fancy a film, head to the FREE ‘Pictures in the Park’ and choose from Moana 2, Wicked Singalong, or Sonic the Hedgehog 3. There will also be a funfair on both days and FREE admission to Newark Castle the entire weekend!
This is a FREE event for everyone to enjoy – head to Coronation Park on 21 and 22 June to be part of this year’s fantastic celebration!
